Roberts Ikaunieks was elected as Sworn Auditor to Audit Committee of the Latvian transmission system operator JSC "Augstsprieguma tīkls" (AST) by AST Sharegolders', together with two former members of the AST Audit Committee - Ivars Blumbergs and AST Supervisory Board Member Aigars Germanis. A vacant position was announced after Andris Purins left the position, to join the board of another state capital company.

The term of office of all three members of the Audit Committee is set until March 7, 2026. R.Ikaunieks and I.Blumbergs were elected as independent members of the Audit Committee, and A.Ģērmanis – as a member of the committee dependent on the AST Supervisory Board.

The newly elected member of the AST Audit Committee, R.Ikaunieks, is a member of the board and associate partner of LLC "Rodl&Partner", a member of the international audit team of Rödl & Partner GmbH (Germany), as well as the person responsible for quality control issues of the Association of Latvian Sworn Auditors.
