Revised harmonised principles for Baltic LFC reserve prequalification
On May 31st 2022, the Baltic Transmission System Operators (Baltic TSOs) Augstsprieguma tīkls, Elering and LITGRID had jointly prepared harmonized principles for Baltic LFC reserve prequalification, hereinafter, Principles.
Baltic TSOs, taking into account the technical capabilities of technical units connected to the grid before the European Commission Regulation 2016/631 establishing a network code on grid connection requirements applicable to generators and 2016/1388 establishing a network code on demand connection creation, have corrected Chapter 3 of the Principles, allowing to qualify these units by fulfilling the technical requirements that existed in the network at the time of connection.
Public consultations on the harmonized principles for Baltic LFC reserve prequalification document had taken place from 31 May to 30 June this year (inclusive).
During the public consultations, feedback was received from 4 market participants, resulting in The Baltic TSOs receiving 8 questions and comments on the Baltic LFC reserve prequalification harmonized principles. The Baltic TSOs have jointly reviewed the received questions and comments and have prepared answers to the market participants' questions and suggestions and have made the appropriate updates to the harmonized principles for Baltic LFC reserve prequalification.
