Updated Baltic CoBA Imbalance Settlement Rules

On July 21, 2021, Augstsprieguma tīkls AS, together with other Baltic TSOs, published a joint document on the updated Baltic CoBA Imbalance Settlement Rules. It conforms to the methodology established in the “All TSOs’ proposal to further specify and harmonize imbalance settlement in accordance with Article 52(2) of the Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/2195 of 23 November 2017 establishing a guideline on electricity balancing” which was adopted by the Decision of the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER). Thus, public consultations were started asking market participants to provide feedback and questions regarding the updated rules.

A total of seven reviews were received during the public consultation, in addition to 25 comments and questions on the Baltic CoBA Imbalance Settlement Rules. The Baltic TSOs have assessed and answered them in writing, and have made the respective amendments to the rules, which shall be the basis for implementing changes in the national rules of each Baltic state.
