INEA representatives visited Latvia to evaluate progress of AST implemented PCIs

eng_cef_cofinancing.pngTo see development progress of Projects of Common Interests in Latvia and evaluate use of granted Connecting Europe Facility funds in electrical transmission system in Latvia, the representatives from Innovation and Network executive agency visited AS “Augstsprieguma tikls” on 28 and 29 of August. Such INEA visits to project promoters in all European Member States, who are using CEF grants for infrastructure development, is regular practice and during visit PCIs implementation progress in Latvia has been evaluated positively.

INEA representatives visited sites of Kurzeme Ring 3rd stage “Ventspils-Tume-Imanta” project (EU co-financing is 55.059 MEUR), as well as been informed about implementation progress of third Estonian-Latvian interconnection (EU funds – 63.38 MEUR) and transmission line RigaCHP-2 – RigaHPP (EU funds – 9.99 MEUR). The commissioning of “Ventspils-Tume-Imanta” project is planned by 2019, whereas commissioning of other two projects is planned by 2020.
